Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about regenerative human biologics, exosome therapy, stem cells, and becoming a provider.

What are human biologics?+

Human biologics are products derived from human tissue — including exosomes, mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), Wharton’s Jelly, and amniotic fluid concentrates — used by licensed healthcare providers in regenerative medicine applications such as skin rejuvenation, joint therapy, hair restoration, and wound healing.

What is exosome therapy?+

Exosome therapy uses cell-derived extracellular vesicles containing growth factors, cytokines, and signaling molecules to support tissue regeneration and repair. Exosomes are applied topically during microneedling, injected into joints, or used in IV therapy by licensed providers. Clinical studies have shown improvements in skin elasticity, wrinkle reduction, and hair density.

What is the difference between exosomes and stem cells?+

Stem cells are living cells capable of differentiation, while exosomes are acellular vesicles secreted by cells that carry bioactive molecules. Exosomes deliver growth factors and signaling molecules without containing live cells. Both are used in regenerative medicine, but exosomes are acellular products that do not require the same handling as live cell therapies.

How do I become a Sōlix provider?+

Licensed healthcare providers can apply through solix.health. The process includes license verification, same-day portal access upon approval, and access to wholesale biologics pricing, clinical resources, state-specific consent forms, and overnight cryopreserved shipping on all orders.

Are your products FDA approved?+

Sōlix products are manufactured in FDA-registered, cGMP-compliant facilities and processed under ISO quality standards. Human tissue products regulated under Section 361 of the Public Health Service Act are not required to go through the FDA drug approval process. Each product ships with a Certificate of Analysis (COA).

What is Wharton’s Jelly and how is it used?+

Wharton’s Jelly is a gelatinous substance from the umbilical cord rich in 200+ growth factors, natural hyaluronic acid, collagens, and extracellular matrix proteins. It is used by providers for joint injections, wound healing, surgical recovery, and tissue regeneration applications.

How do exosomes compare to PRP?+

Exosomes contain 300+ bioactive growth factors compared to approximately 10 in PRP. Exosome therapy typically requires fewer treatment sessions and does not require a blood draw from the patient. Head-to-head clinical studies show comparable or superior results for skin rejuvenation, with exosomes offering anti-inflammatory properties versus PRP’s pro-inflammatory nature.

What specialties can offer regenerative biologics?+

Regenerative biologics can be integrated into med spas and aesthetics (microneedling, facial rejuvenation, hair restoration), cosmetic surgery (post-surgical recovery, scar remodeling), orthopedics (joint injections, nerve repair), hormone and wellness clinics (IV therapy, sexual health), and regenerative dentistry (PRF protocols, alveolar ridge augmentation).
